Marina began studying music at the age of 9. As a teenager, she won awards for piano and flute in music festivals in Nova Scotia. After her highschool graduation, Marina studied music at Acadia University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education degree, and was the recipient of the Acadia University Bronze Medal for scholastic achievement in music. Marina taught Elementary School Music in Cape Breton and Shelburne. She pursued graduate studies at Bob Jones University in Greenville,SC, where she received a Master of Education in teaching music. Marina has been teaching piano privately for 31 years. She has been a church pianist/musician for 40 years. Her students have praised her for her kindness and patience. Marina enjoys sharing her love for the piano and its repertoire, and delights in seeing her pupils excel in piano technique, musicianship and performance skills. Marina has also taught beginner flute, beginner voice, as well as hymn playing.
